About Freedom & Liberty Worship
Freedom & Liberty has had an impact on the Pilot Mountain region with a message of hope since its launch in 2012.
The church is a continuation of the rich history begun with Pastor Wesley and Reva Flippin, as part of the Evangelical Pentecostal faith in this area.
We are a community of normal, imperfect, non-traditional people pursuing a relationship with God that will transform our lives and our community.
Our growing family of loving people in North Carolina persist in opening our hearts to the work God is doing in our lives and the community around us.

What’s In a Name?
People ask, “Why Freedom & Liberty?” “Where did you get the name?”
The best person to answer that question is Pastor Eddie Sawyers.
Here’s his story:
In the spring of 2012, I read 2 Corinthians 3:17.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” English Standard Version (ESV)
When I read that verse, it jumped off the page at me. In other words, where the Spirit of the Lord is NOT, there is bondage! Jesus came to set us free, so every time someone mentions the name of our church, they are, repeating Jesus’ mission statement.
In the Greek, the inspired Word, the word “eleutheria” is used where the verse says, “there is freedom”. Strong’s Concordance defines eleutheria as: freedom, liberty, especially: a state of freedom from slavery. In this case, freedom from the yoke of the Mosaic Law, freedom from those things that so easily beset us. – Philippians 3:12-14.
Jesus said, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – John 8:31-32 ESV
At Freedom & Liberty we believe that our Savior, Jesus, came to give us Freedom & Liberty.
