Pastor Eddie Sawyers
Eddie Sawyers was born in Kentucky as the youngest of 5 children. The family moved to Pilot Mountain, North Carolina when he was 4 and he’s never looked back.
Eddie has had multiple careers in manufacturing and financial services spanning 30+ years. And since he was the owner/operator of his own business for 13 years, he’s no stranger to the demanding work of being an entrepreneur.
He and his wife, April Flippin Sawyers, have raised 4 wonderful children and are enjoying their 5 grandchildren with 2 new arrivals expected soon. Eddie considers his family the best parts of his life.
After studying 2 Corinthians 3:17 in the spring of 2012 the revelation of the freedom under which God planned for us to live, became a burning message for him. He answered the call to full time ministry and founded Freedom and Liberty Church that same year to proclaim the message of Grace on a weekly basis.
Freedom and Liberty is a growing community of normal, imperfect, non-traditional people pursuing a relationship with God and inviting the community around them to join in that Freedom.
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. – 2 Corinthians 3:17 ESV
